Huawei Helps Sinotrans Build a Cloud Computing Platform with FusionSphere

Sinotrans, China’s largest integrated logistics services provider, needed a more agile and efficient IT environment to support shipping, warehousing, express delivery, and freight-forwarding operations. Rising IT investments, high O&M costs, long deployment times for new services, and uneven system reliability made its legacy infrastructure hard to manage. Huawei addressed these challenges with its FusionSphere cloud operating system and related cloud platform services.

Huawei deployed FusionSphere to virtualize hundreds of servers, migrate dozens of service systems, and consolidate ICT services across Sinotrans. The solution also added data redundancy across three data centers in two locations, improving reliability and continuity. As a result, Sinotrans increased IT resource usage from 20% to 70%, cut service deployment time from months to three weeks, and significantly reduced O&M costs while enabling elastic scalability.
