Huawei Helps Etisalat Virtualize Data Center

Etisalat Misr, a subsidiary of UAE-based Etisalat, needed to move its data center to a new site while upgrading its IT architecture for future cloud growth and carrier service transformation. The company also wanted to simplify its infrastructure, protect existing data, and raise its virtualization rate to 80% or higher while keeping services continuously available during migration.

Huawei delivered an end-to-end IT transformation solution that included P/V migration support, database migration, and project management to maintain SLAs. Huawei also introduced a Huawei V3 storage system, FusionSphere cloud OS, E9000 blade servers, and FusionCube converged infrastructure, helping Etisalat Misr achieve an evolvable cloud data center with virtualization above 80%, a simpler IT environment, and lower TCO.
