Huawei CloudFabric Upgrades NIC.br’s IXP Network

NIC.br, the largest Internet eXchange Point (IXP) network provider in Latin America, needed to keep up with surging traffic, rapidly changing member services, and a heavy operations workload. Huawei stepped in with its CloudFabric Solution to help NIC.br modernize and expand its IXP network.

Huawei implemented CloudFabric with CloudEngine 12800 data center switches and OSN9802 optical transmission devices, delivering a flexible, high-speed platform for NIC.br. The upgrade added high-density 25G/40G/100G access, 200G optical transport, faster bandwidth expansion from days to minutes, and simplified O&M, helping NIC.br reduce CAPEX and OPEX while supporting more than 1,000 members and future growth.
