Huawei Builds Bank Virtualized App Platform

The People’s Bank of China, the central bank of China, needed to modernize an aging IT environment built on dual-socket servers. Its existing setup suffered from low server utilization, limited scalability, and the need to upgrade and migrate services while improving reliability and staff efficiency. Huawei provided the data center IT system solution, including the RH5885 V2 four-socket server platform for virtualization.

Huawei deployed virtual machines on RH5885 V2 servers to increase resource usage, improve service continuity, and simplify migration between systems. The solution delivered a stable, high-performance virtualized computing platform with 35 RAS features and strong compatibility with major virtualization vendors. According to the case study, Huawei’s solution doubled IT system deployment efficiency and improved service performance by 30 percent.
