Huawei Active-Active DC Solution Safeguards CNPC Business Continuity

China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPP), a professional pipe engineering company for CNPC, faced challenges with its two physically separate data centers, which led to resource waste. They needed to build a virtualized, active-active data center solution to ensure high availability, achieve zero data loss, and create a robust disaster recovery system. CPP engaged vendor Huawei to implement its Active-Active Data Center solution.

Huawei constructed an intra-city active-active data center system using its virtual gateway devices and high-end storage arrays, integrated with VMware. This solution provided real-time data mirroring and live migration capabilities, ensuring RPO and RTO requirements were met for critical services. The results included zero data loss, enhanced protection of information assets, reduced operational costs through automatic switchover, and the ability to perform maintenance without service interruption.
