People’s Hospital of Jilin Province, a comprehensive class III grade A hospital, needed to expand its private cloud data center to support growing clinical demands while ensuring centralized storage, high performance, scalability, and 24/7 disaster recovery for critical systems like HIS and PACS. Huawei was selected to help address the hospital’s reliability and data-protection challenges as it modernized its IT infrastructure.
Huawei implemented an active-active data center solution using cloud computing, servers, high-performance S5600T storage arrays, VIS6600T virtual gateways, and a distributed VIS600 cluster. The solution unified legacy storage, enabled VM-based DR protection and active-active I/O access across rooms, and improved service continuity, patient-data protection, and future scalability while preserving existing investments.
