HM Hospitales Implements Cloud Medical Care with Huawei Desktop Cloud Solution

HM Hospitales, a private hospital group in Madrid with six branches and about 4,000 medical staff, faced challenges with fragmented IT systems across locations, poor information sharing, high purchasing and maintenance costs, low equipment utilization, and security risks for sensitive patient data. To address these issues, the hospital worked with Huawei and its FusionCloud Desktop Cloud Solution to support its desktop and office automation environment.

Huawei implemented a cloud-based desktop solution using FusionSphere, FusionAccess, an E6000 blade server, and S5500T storage, with thin clients replacing conventional PCs and centralized data center management. The result was faster desktop deployment, improving efficiency by more than 50 times, centralized O&M with more than 10 times better efficiency, and up to 70% lower power consumption per year, while also strengthening information security for HM Hospitales’ data.
