China’s Ministry of Health needed to modernize its emergency health communications by replacing an aging, mixed-vendor SD videoconferencing setup that lacked reliability, backup, and scalability. Huawei addressed the challenge with its Health eCommand HD Video Conferencing System to support real-time emergency command and decision-making across headquarters and 14 provinces.

Huawei deployed an HD videoconferencing solution with 20 MCUs, 246 HD terminals, and unified management through SMC2.0, enabling cascaded conferences across the national eGovernment Extranet. The system delivered 1080p video, dual 720p content sharing, CD-quality audio, redundancy, and interoperability with legacy devices, improving emergency response efficiency and allowing participants to join by video, IP, analog, or phone when needed.
