A Huawei Case Study

Preview of the Ministry of Land and Resources Case Study

Government Agency Video Conferencing

The Ministry of Land and Resources of the People’s Republic of China needed a modern videoconferencing system to improve communication, speed policy and command delivery, and reduce the time and cost of travel across its national organization. Huawei was selected to help meet current and future conferencing and training needs with a scalable solution centered on videoconferencing infrastructure.

Huawei deployed a carrier-class H.323 videoconferencing system built around a ViewPoint series MCU, RMCC management software, and a ViewPoint 8000 Gatekeeper, along with video terminals for the central, provincial, and departmental sites. The new system supports the MLR’s operations across 34 provinces, improves management and communication efficiency, enables flexible conferencing and training, and helps reduce executive travel costs and carbon footprint.
