Xi’an Railway Bureau, China’s rail operator serving much of northern China, needed to modernize its legacy IT environment to reduce bottlenecks and support both passenger and freight operations. Huawei addressed the bureau’s challenge with its FusionCloud Desktop Solution, helping replace outdated, hard-to-manage station systems across remote locations.

Huawei implemented servers at the Xi’an station information center and thin clients at branch stations to deliver virtualized desktop services over the railway intranet. The solution improved IT management efficiency, strengthened security, enabled flexible access to desktops from different locations and terminals, and allowed users to switch terminals without interrupting work, while also preserving legacy servers and reducing power, heat, and maintenance needs.
