A Huawei Case Study
Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, one of China’s busiest hubs, needed a stable, secure, and scalable network for its new T2 terminal that could integrate smoothly with the existing T1 environment, support future growth, and be easy to manage centrally. Huawei was selected to deliver the network infrastructure and management platform.
Huawei implemented a flexible LAN architecture built on S9312 core switches, clustering for up to 256 Gbit/s bandwidth, redundant core nodes, inter-chassis link aggregation, and a security firewall for user authentication and data encryption. Using standard protocols and Huawei’s eSight unified network management platform, the airport gained centralized O&M across T1 and T2, improved efficiency, reduced costs, and achieved a network strong enough to support reliable service for the next five years.
