China Construction Bank (CCB), one of China’s largest banks, needed to support a rapidly growing Big Data loan underwriting application, but its existing data center network was constrained by 10 Gbit/s server access and 40–100 Gbit/s core interfaces, creating bandwidth bottlenecks and increasing O&M complexity. CCB turned to Huawei and its CloudEngine CE Series data center switches to enable higher-performance, more scalable infrastructure for its financial services workloads.
Huawei implemented a non-blocking, high-speed data center network using CloudEngine CE Series switches with 40 Gbit/s interfaces and a 40 Gbit/s to 100 Gbit/s connected fabric. The upgraded environment gave CCB the forwarding performance needed for Big Data analytics, improved scalability for future growth, and supported a more flexible platform for cloud computing and modern server-based applications.
