Glasgow Rangers Football Club, based at Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow, wanted to deliver better services and a richer fan experience by deploying stadium-wide Wi‑Fi, including coverage for the parking lot. The club needed a solution that could handle wireless interference, unstable signals, and high-density user access in a complex stadium environment.

Huawei implemented an end-to-end WLAN network using indoor and outdoor access points, AC6605 wireless controllers, switches, routers, and firewalls, with 253 APs deployed across the stadium. The solution provided reliable high-speed Wi‑Fi for more than 51,000 spectators, enabled value-added services such as social media, online shopping, and promotions, and improved network stability, operations, and fan engagement while helping create new revenue opportunities.
