Drug Maker Takes the Right Prescription

China Pharmaceutical Group, China’s largest pharmaceutical group, needed to consolidate operations and prepare its IT environment for the next 5–10 years. To support about 60,000 employees across the Group and its subsidiaries, the company turned to Huawei for a cloud computing platform that could improve efficiency, scalability, and mail service continuity.

Huawei designed a three-phase unified cloud computing solution built around a cloud platform integrating the legacy VMware environment and Coremail system, with centralized management, disaster recovery, APIs, and metering/billing for internal use. The result was a dynamic, scalable, and redundant platform that reduced IT investment costs, improved operations and maintenance efficiency, ensured service continuity, and delivered better user experience during high concurrency across multiple data centers.
