A Huawei Case Study
Shandong Rural Credit Cooperative, a major financial co-op serving farmers, rural businesses, and the agricultural sector across Shandong province, needed a stronger data center network to support its wide customer base and growing operations. With only two nearby data centers, the organization faced bandwidth limitations and concerns about disaster recovery, system stability, and keeping critical services running during disruptions. Huawei was brought in to address these infrastructure and resilience challenges.
Huawei implemented a two-active-active-data-center architecture in two cities, plus a third disaster recovery data center, connected by optical fiber and WAN leased lines. The solution used Huawei CE12800 data center switches, bundled 40 GE links for a non-blocking core network, and a Huawei USG6600 firewall for security, along with redundancy and clustering technologies. As a result, Shandong Rural Credit Cooperative accelerated its core banking transformation, enabled real-time synchronous data replication and faster operations, improved resource utilization, and enhanced financial services and disaster recovery capabilities.
