Cloud Resource Pool Uses Huawei Servers

Sinopec Group, China’s large petroleum and petrochemical enterprise, needed a better way to flexibly allocate fuel resources, improve low IT resource utilization, cut high O&M costs, and get faster local support for geographically dispersed systems. To address these challenges, Huawei was selected to provide a cloud resource pool using its RH5885 V2 and RH1288 V2 rack servers, along with remote maintenance tools and management software.

Huawei implemented a solution that enabled centralized resource scheduling, unified device O&M, and smoother capacity expansion for existing systems. The result was higher system reliability and IT resource utilization, lower total cost of ownership, and 24/7 remote maintenance with on-site support within four hours, helping Sinopec Group resolve faults more quickly and support future business growth.
