A Huawei Case Study

Preview of the China Telecom Global (CTG) Case Study

China Telecom Global Expands Public Cloud Services

China Telecom Global (CTG), the overseas branch of China Telecom based in Hong Kong, wanted to expand its worldwide ICT business and launch its “Nebula Plan” for global public cloud services. Facing fast-changing carrier markets and growing demand from Chinese enterprises, multinational customers, and Internet companies, CTG needed a scalable way to build public cloud infrastructure across multiple regions while meeting local network and service requirements.

Huawei provided end-to-end consulting and public cloud solutions for CTG’s Nebula Plan, including a distributed cloud architecture, self-service portal, and software-defined storage to support data centers in Hong Kong, Singapore, and more than 30 countries. With Huawei, CTG created a global cloud platform that improved performance by 2x, reduced TCO by 20%, and increased management efficiency by 3x, while also helping CTG serve more than 10 Chinese enterprises and strengthen SLA-backed service quality.
