A Huawei Case Study
China Telecom Global (CTG), a major telecommunications carrier, sought to expand its global public cloud service, known as the Nebula Project, to become a leading provider for Chinese multinational enterprises. The company faced significant challenges, including high implementation costs, the complexity of building and managing a worldwide service, and overcoming geographical barriers to expansion. To address this, CTG partnered with vendor Huawei to leverage its expertise and solutions, including the FusionSphere cloud platform.
Huawei implemented a distributed public cloud architecture for CTG, constructing numerous cloud data centers globally. This solution provided a cost-effective, scalable, and reliable platform with self-service portals for customers. The measurable results for the customer were substantial: a 20% reduction in total cost of ownership (TCO), a tripling of management efficiency, and the securing of over ten major enterprise accounts, enabling CTG to successfully expand its global market share.
