China Construction Bank Tianjin Branch, part of one of China’s major commercial banking networks, needed a smarter way to support its growing branch network and Internet-finance services. Traditional banking outlets had limited space and manual management, while the branch data centers were reaching their throughput and management limits. Huawei was selected to provide a compact, integrated smart data center solution for these outlet-based mini data centers.

Huawei implemented its FusionModule500 Smart Data Center, combining the IT cabinet, network distribution cabinet, UPS, power distribution, and monitoring into a factory-integrated system. This enabled one-day on-site installation and rapid service rollout, while remote monitoring allowed multiple branches to be managed centrally and alarms to be sent to engineers by phone or email. The solution improved space utilization by 50%, increased reliability and scalability, and reduced OPEX for China Construction Bank Tianjin Branch.
