Central Bank of Russia Builds National System of Payment Cards

The Central Bank of Russia, faced with a reliance on foreign payment systems that posed a risk to national financial stability, required a highly reliable domestic solution. The newly established National System of Payment Cards (NSPC) needed a robust IT infrastructure to be built on an extremely tight schedule. To meet this challenge, they partnered with Huawei to implement an active-active data center solution.

Huawei built two synchronized, intra-city data centers using a suite of its ICT products, including servers and storage, to create a highly available and scalable platform. This Huawei solution was delivered in just six months, enabling the NSPC to achieve stable, 24/7 operations. The system now processes 10 million transactions daily with zero interruptions, ensuring the security of the Russian financial system.
