China Minsheng Banking Corp., Ltd. (CMBC), China’s first national joint-stock commercial bank, wanted to expand mobile services such as mobile office, mobile operations, and mobile marketing while supporting BYOD for employees. However, the bank faced security challenges around unauthorized or infected devices, untrusted public Wi-Fi, new mobile attacks, and the risk of corporate data leakage. Huawei provided a BYOD-capable mobility security protection solution to secure smart devices, networks, applications, and data centers.
Huawei’s solution included the AnyOffice client, sandbox technology, application-level VPN, a secure access management platform, and MDM capabilities such as certificate-based Wi-Fi authentication and GPS-based verification. As a result, CMBC gained stronger mobile security and flexible customization for its banking services, while enabling paperless workflows, remote access to enterprise resources, and faster card application handling—completed and approved in as little as 15 minutes. Huawei also delivered ongoing global technical support to help CMBC advance its mobile and global business strategy.
