TravelSky Technology Limited, China’s leading civil aviation information services provider, needed to support rapidly growing transaction volumes across airlines, airports, ticket agencies, and travel services while modernizing away from expensive, inflexible mainframe and UNIX systems. Its challenges included high computing and I/O demands, limited room and power resources, and the need for a more flexible, virtualized IT platform.

Huawei implemented RH2288 V2 and RH5885 V2 servers for TravelSky Technology’s x86 open platform, supporting the web virtualization and database layers with VMware-based virtualization. Huawei’s solution delivered strong computing performance, large memory capacity, and improved I/O and reliability for the eTicket system, while cutting maintenance fees by more than 50% compared with the legacy environment and reducing power and equipment-room resource usage.
