The African Union (AU) faced significant challenges in organizing its numerous high-level meetings, including stringent security requirements, complex multi-language material management, and high energy consumption from its conventional IT systems. Seeking a modern solution for its new conference center, the AU partnered with Huawei to deploy the FusionCloud Desktop Solution to create a secure and efficient platform for its 18th conference.

Huawei implemented a centralized desktop cloud system using its FusionCloud, FusionSphere, and FusionAccess technologies, alongside customized WiFi-enabled thin clients. This solution provided a secure, paperless environment, enabling mobile office capabilities and centralized operations and maintenance. The results were highly successful, with the AU saving over 70% on electricity costs, significantly improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the security of its sensitive meeting data.
