Asia Pacific Telecom Deploys Agile Services with Huawei FusionCube VDI

Asia Pacific Telecom, one of Taiwan’s major telecom operators, wanted to modernize its IT environment to support more than 500 customer service agents across Taipei and branch centers. The company faced rising IT O&M costs, security risks, low server utilization, and slow service deployment with its existing PC-based, highly fragmented infrastructure. Huawei’s FusionCube VDI solution was chosen to address these challenges.

Huawei implemented FusionCube VDI with FusionAccess virtual desktop management, along with a converged appliance, virtualization platform, cloud management, and FusionStorage. The result was centralized desktop administration, stronger security, and faster rollout: Huawei helped APT cut O&M costs and TCO, improve IT resource utilization by more than 70%, and shorten service deployment from weeks to just a couple of days.
