Abraxas Takes Cloud Computing to New Heights

Abraxas, Switzerland’s largest ICT integrator and Cloud Service Provider in Zurich and St. Gallen, needed to modernize its cloud data center network to support rapid VM migration, on-demand service delivery, reliable interconnections between multiple data centers, and long-term growth. To address these challenges, Huawei provided a cloud computing data center networking solution built around the CloudEngine series switches.

Huawei implemented CE12800 core switches along with TRILL-based data center networking and EVN-based cross-data-center interconnection, plus CSS, VS, and VPN features for virtualization, isolation, and access control. The solution created a large Layer 2 network across three data centers, improved flexibility for VM and application migration, strengthened security, and enabled active-active disaster recovery with 24/7 service continuity; Huawei also cited support for multi-tenant virtualization growth from 4K to 16M tenants and capacity planning for the next 10 years.
