Case Study: Agricultural Bank of China achieves a modern, scalable network with Huawei

ABC’s Network of the Future

Agricultural Bank of China (ABC), one of China’s top commercial banks, needed a more efficient and scalable network to support its massive branch and data center footprint. Its existing production and office automation networks were isolated, hard to integrate, and built on mixed vendor equipment and inconsistent branch architectures, creating complexity and limiting agility. Huawei was brought in to redesign the bank’s network foundation.

Huawei delivered a full IP network design and implementation project using TOGAF-based planning, analysis, and migration services. The new hierarchical, modular, loosely-coupled network enabled ABC to scale across cities and data centers, deploy core services faster, and reduce O&M costs. Huawei completed more than 300 cut-overs and migrations with zero failures, helping ABC achieve a smoother, more reliable network transformation.
