Bank of China (BOC), including Bank of China Hong Kong, needed a better way to support increasingly frequent remote communications between headquarters in Beijing and its branches. Its older videoconferencing setup delivered poor VCD-level video, required dedicated staff to operate, had weak lighting and acoustics, and suffered from slow maintenance support. Huawei was brought in to improve executive collaboration with a more advanced telepresence experience.
Huawei implemented an end-to-end HD telepresence solution with display table configuration, an acoustic sound system, and OEM services. The system delivered HD 1080p60 video, touch-screen controls, and Huawei SiteCall for simple conference setup, while also improving room design and support responsiveness. As a result, BOC gained a realistic face-to-face meeting experience, simplified operations, and faster decision-making across distant locations.
