PepsiCo's bottlers faced fierce competition for retail display space, tight margins, expanding SKUs, high turnover, and a dispersed field workforce that made traditional classroom training impractical. To tackle these challenges, PepsiCo turned to HSI and its Thinkzoom eLearning platform and custom content services to deliver targeted, mobile-friendly training at the point of need.
HSI created product-specific training videos and blended custom and off-the-shelf courses (sales, merchandising, leadership, compliance) on Thinkzoom, enabling merchandisers and sales staff to learn on the go. The program produced measurable results: over 2.5 million course views since 2004, 235+ custom Pepsi-Cola courses in the library, access to 1,500+ courses, and HSI’s solution “justified its entire annual subscription” by driving a display lift over Memorial Day and July 4th weekends—helping PepsiCo build a more efficient and profitable workforce.
