New Program Helps Approved HSI Training Center Grow Business

VTac, LLC, an emergency care training center in Aztec, New Mexico run by Paul and Candice Mitchell, needed a nationally accredited partner with a broad program portfolio and business tools to schedule classes, order materials, and manage reporting efficiently. They partnered with HSI as an approved Training Center, adopting HSI’s emergency care programs—including CPR/AED/First Aid, BLS, CABS—and especially the Active Violence Emergency Response Training (AVERT), plus HSI’s online Otis portal.

HSI delivered the AVERT curriculum and a customizable portal that streamlined administration and enabled hands-on, environment-specific drills (bleeding control, tourniquet work, scenario practice) that resonate with teachers, banks, and community groups. Using HSI’s programs and support, VTac grew its business organically, secured a large school-district client after its first AVERT class, expanded its course offerings, and reported stronger student confidence and consistently positive reviews.
