Engaging Employee Training, Full-Service EHS Management Help Improve Company’s Safety Record

Complete Mechanical Services (CMS), an industrial general contractor headquartered in Cincinnati with roughly 125 employees and nationwide job sites, faced an urgent safety and training problem: a subscription-based, single-login training system that made it nearly impossible to track individual assignments, completions, or safety statistics. With customers raising prequalification and on-site safety requirements and CMS still using paper incident logs, the company needed a user-friendly, mobile-accessible training platform and a digital EHS management system. CMS selected HSI’s Safety & Compliance training and HSI EHS management solution to address these gaps.

HSI delivered an intuitive LMS with individual logins plus a cloud-based EHS suite for incident/near‑miss reporting, investigations, document and SDS management, and real-time dashboards. As a result, CMS saw TRIR fall from 3.9 to below 1.5 (2019–2022), a rise in safety observations and near‑miss reports, faster onboarding and compliance tracking, and improved ability to win larger, safety-conscious clients. HSI’s platform also enabled data-driven fixes (for example, resolving an eye-injury issue), demonstrating measurable improvements in CMS’s safety performance.
