Case Study: Harmon, Inc. achieves world-class safety — incident rate cut below 1.0 with HSI EHS platform

A HSI Case Study

Preview of the Harmon, Inc. Case Study

Construction company adopts an EHS platform and new training, leading to world-class health and safety results

Harmon, Inc., one of the largest commercial construction glaziers in the U.S. with 17 locations and over 1,000 employees, faced fragmented safety tracking and outdated training—relying on paper, spreadsheets, phone calls, and old videotapes that prevented companywide visibility and proactive prevention. When their new Director of EHS prioritized modernization, Harmon evaluated 27 systems and chose the HSI EHS platform and HSI online training to centralize reporting and standardize safety programs.

HSI implemented a phased rollout with a sandbox for usability testing, automated notifications, and an integrated LMS for engaging training, consolidating incident reports, corrective actions, audits, and certifications in one system. The HSI solution drove five to six times more reports, enabled targeted corrective actions, and cut Harmon’s incident rate from about 4.4 to 1.7 in year one and to at-or-below 1.0 for many months, while improving training adoption and overall workforce safety.
