The customer, KLH, a global leader in CLT supply, leveraged hsbcad's hsbDesign for AutoCAD solution to address the complex modeling and precise fabrication requirements for The Ascent, the world's tallest timber hybrid building. The challenge was to ensure construction accuracy for the project's 19 stories of mass timber, which required detailed single-piece drawings and optimized logistics for the massive CLT components.

hsbcad provided the advanced software essential for the project's success. The solution enabled precise modeling of the entire CLT scope, the creation of detailed fabrication drawings, and the generation of transport loading diagrams that optimized logistics. This contributed directly to the flawless assembly and successful realization of the landmark building, which subsequently won the prestigious “Wood Design Award” and “Structure Award” from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) in 2023.
