Offsite - Customer Case Study

The customer, a company referred to as Offsite, faced the challenge of designing and constructing 18 high-quality, energy-efficient homes for over 55 homeless women in North Fremantle. The project required precision to meet near PassivHaus standards while pre-planning all service penetrations for their fabrication team. They utilized the vendor hsbcad's software to address these complex design and manufacturing constraints.

hsbcad provided a solution using its software tools, including hsb FloorElement, StickFrame, and RoofElement. The software's sheeting functions and Detail Overrides allowed Offsite to create a precise model for the closed panel timber elements. The TSL functions were used to clearly indicate service locations, giving the fabrication team confidence. This resulted in the successful creation of compact, low-cost housing that achieves thermal comfort and energy efficiency, contributing to initiatives that reduce global warming.
