Retail Zoo — the Australian group behind Boost Juice, Salsa’s Fresh Mex and CIBO Espresso — hires large numbers of casual and part-time staff across hundreds of stores, creating high turnover and seasonal recruitment peaks. Their paper-based onboarding was slow and hard to track: posting new-starter paperwork from the Melbourne support centre could take up to two weeks to return, delaying new hires from starting and risking lost or delayed mail.

Retail Zoo implemented HROnboard because it integrated with their ATS and Chris21 payroll and offered branded, role-specific portals. Moving to digital onboarding eliminated printing and postage, sped offer-to-start from weeks to hours, reduced administrative time and errors, and improved the new-hire experience. Next steps include giving store managers the ability to create contracts while HR remains a reviewer.
