Sasa Singapore, a leading multinational cosmetics retailer, needed to modernize aging datacenter infrastructure to improve data protection and system availability for critical applications such as POS, Sybase, and SharePoint. Sasa deployed SimpliVity hyperconverged infrastructure (two 2U nodes) to unify compute, storage and data protection. Backups and restores now complete in minutes instead of hours, operations are simplified so generalists can manage VMs from VMware vCenter, and redundant configuration has delivered 100% uptime since deployment. The solution also produced massive storage efficiencies—about 239 TB of logical data consuming only 1.9 TB of disk—freeing IT staff to focus on innovation.
