Romac Industries, a leading manufacturer of pipe products and tools for the waterworks industry, faced an aging, multivendor IT environment that was expensive, complex to manage and relied on tape-based backups that risked long outages for revenue‑critical applications like Oracle, Hyperion EPM, SolidWorks and Citrix XenApp. The IT team set out to modernize infrastructure, improve performance and reliability, and reduce total cost of ownership.

They deployed SimpliVity hyperconverged infrastructure—five nodes in the primary site and additional nodes for rapid DR—replacing four racks of legacy gear with a compact, highly available configuration.
