Nuh Cement, a Turkey‑based global producer and supplier of cement and concrete, faced an aging, siloed IT environment with legacy servers and stand‑alone storage that made backups slow, recovery risky, and operations costly. The company needed an IT refresh to improve application performance, streamline management, and provide reliable disaster recovery for business‑critical systems like SAP.

Nuh deployed SimpliVity OmniCube hyperconverged infrastructure in a 4+2 federation (four clustered 2U CN‑3000 systems in primary, two in a remote DR site) managed by VMware vCenter, consolidating four racks of equipment into compact units. The result: SAP performance improved by more than 75%, backups and restores that once took hours now complete in minutes (a 2 TB SAP instance can be restored in minutes), 19.2:1 data efficiency (177.75 TB logical to 9.3 TB physical), lower power/cooling/management costs, and the project finished two months ahead of schedule.
