A HPE Simplivity Case Study
The Mississippi Department of Revenue, a state government agency, faced a capacity-driven infrastructure review and the burden of managing multiple legacy solutions and vendors. They needed to consolidate and modernize their environment to support data center consolidation/private cloud, ROBO sites, production applications (including Microsoft SQL Server), and test/dev workloads.
They deployed HPE SimpliVity hyperconverged infrastructure to consolidate equipment, simplify management, and integrate data services and protection. As a result, performance improved 50–75%, capacity efficiency reached up to 50:1, new workloads could be provisioned in as little as one day, and the agency realized value within a week; key benefits cited included inline dedupe/compression, integrated data protection, global federated management, and the hyperconverged appliance form factor.
