Medico Teams Up With Hpe to Transform It for Mayapada Hospitals

Medico, a provider of private cloud–based hospital information systems, partnered with Mayapada Healthcare Group to deliver a centralized HIS across multiple hospitals. The challenge was to build a scalable, highly available data center that could support rapid expansion (from three to several more hospitals), secure and consolidate large volumes of medical data, enable real‑time mobile access for clinicians, and simplify procurement and support with a trusted vendor.

Medico chose a pan‑HPE solution that combined HPE ProLiant DL385 servers (AMD EPYC), HPE Nimble storage and StoreOnce backup, HPE networking and Aruba wireless, plus VMware, Veeam and Windows Server, with HPE Pointnext services. The deployment enabled dense virtualization (about 100 VMs per server), edge‑to‑cloud data flow, storage deduplication and nondisruptive scaling, and AI‑enabled predictive analytics for unified monitoring—resulting in simplified single‑vendor management, scalable rollout to additional hospitals, and improved clinician workflows with one patient–one record and seamless mobile access.
