Lawlords, a UK full‑service firm of costs lawyers with offices in London, Manchester, Liverpool and Carlisle, faced an aging, multivendor IT estate that put business‑critical applications (Proclaim, Progress, Exchange, file/print) at risk. Tape‑based backups were slow and manual, restorations took hours, and the firm needed improved disaster recovery, business continuity and lower operating costs.

Lawlords deployed a SimpliVity OmniCube hyperconverged 2+1 federation (CN‑2200) to consolidate infrastructure and provide built‑in, VM‑centric data protection. The change cut RPO/RTO from hours to minutes or seconds, enabled backups/restores in seconds, delivered 63:1 data efficiency (121 TB logical → 1.9 TB physical), consolidated four towers into two 2U nodes, streamlined operations under one IT manager, and improved performance and resiliency across four sites.
