Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s new Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Medical Science and Research (SVPIMSR) is an 18‑storey, 1,500‑bed public hospital that required a highly efficient, secure, and resilient IT platform to run mission‑critical applications—hospital ERP, VDI for thousands of clinicians and staff, Active Directory and core services—while meeting strict healthcare compliance, performance and disaster‑recovery requirements.

AMC selected HPE SimpliVity HCI, implemented by Dotcad, to consolidate compute, storage and networking and deliver built‑in backup/DR, inline deduplication/optimization (achieving up to 40:1 data efficiency), out‑of‑the‑box RAID+RAIN protection, and central management. The solution reduced power and space (under 30 rack units), guaranteed fast restores (1 TB VM in ~60 seconds), supports current and future workloads (500 beds today, scale to 1,500+), and cut administrative overheads while improving uptime, data protection and compliance.
