A HPE Simplivity Case Study

GoodLife Fitness - Customer Case Study

GoodLife Fitness, Canada’s largest health club chain, faced costly outsourced IT with three-week lead times for changes and high monthly fees while supporting MS SQL Server, Active Directory and core business applications. As the company moved its headquarters, it sought to bring operations in‑house to accelerate IT agility, reduce OPEX and guarantee high performance and reliability.

GoodLife deployed SimpliVity’s OmniStack integrated with Lenovo System x in a 2+1 federation (two nodes in its London data center plus a remote DR node), using VM‑centric management via VMware vCenter. The result: adds/moves/changes now take minutes instead of weeks, IT generalists can handle routine tasks easily, backups/restores and DR occur in seconds, 100% uptime since deployment, rapid OPEX savings and payback, and dramatic storage efficiency (36.5 TB logical data consumes just 2 TB physical).
