Genia, a Danish hosted service provider, was struggling with a disjointed multivendor IT environment—separate compute, storage and backup systems with complex administration—that made provisioning slow, costly and unable to meet RPO/RTO goals with its legacy Veeam-based backups, putting SLAs at risk.

Genia implemented SimpliVity hyperconverged infrastructure (two OmniCubes in primary and secondary data centers) to consolidate compute, storage and data protection. The solution enabled backups in seconds and recoveries in minutes, near-instant VM provisioning, 100% uptime, significant CAPEX/OPEX and footprint reductions (237.88 TB logical → 12.12 TB physical, ~19.6:1 efficiency), simplified administration and new customer backup offerings.
