A HPE Simplivity Case Study
The Credit and Investment Ombudsman, a Sydney‑based credit resolution agency serving thousands of financial providers, faced data center strain as its services grew: aging Dell physical servers, no virtualization, slow backups to portable drives, limited DR, and a small IT team needing to reduce complexity, shrink footprint and lower risk while improving performance and agility.
They deployed SimpliVity OmniCube CN‑2200 hyperconverged nodes (two onsite, one at an offsite colo) to virtualize and consolidate workloads, gain native VM‑centric backup/DR, and centralize management in vCenter. The result was dramatic: report generation is 3–4× faster, data efficiency reached 117:1, rack space was cut threefold, restores now take minutes, and overall operational efficiency, disaster recovery posture and test/dev agility were greatly improved.
