The City of Arvada IT department—a 29-person team supporting about 1,000 users—needed to replace aging infrastructure while upgrading its mission-critical Intergraph CAD/RMS for 911/public-safety use. Key requirements were improved disaster recovery, simpler management, quick deployment, and a solution that fit a constrained budget.

Arvada deployed a SimpliVity OmniCube federation (two CN-3000s in production and two in a backup site), installed by Eagle Software and SimpliVity. The hyperconverged platform delivered faster application performance, streamlined management, built-in deduplication/compression/replication, reduced data center footprint and energy use, and enabled easy per-VM DR testing and rapid recovery.
