Altrecht, a leading Dutch mental healthcare provider, faced an aging, multivendor datacenter (Dell servers and EMC Clariion) that was running out of capacity amid shrinking budgets and rising regulatory pressure. The organization performed a five‑year TCO analysis of Microsoft Azure, Nutanix and HPE SimpliVity and selected HPE SimpliVity as the most cost‑effective option (Azure up to 38% and Nutanix up to 69% more expensive).

Altrecht deployed 18 HPE SimpliVity nodes, consolidating eight racks of legacy gear into two, and gained dramatic data efficiency (641 TB logical consumes under 33 TB physical), backup and recovery in minutes instead of hours, and simplified VM management supporting 1,500+ concurrent XenApp users. The outcome was significantly lower five‑year TCO, reduced operational complexity, and IT staff freed to focus on strategic initiatives.
