Abba Technologies, an Albuquerque-based MSP founded in 1993, supports government and private customers running Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, VDI and custom databases. Their five‑year‑old, multi-vendor environment—9 ESXi hosts, fiber‑channel switches, multiple storage arrays and backup appliances—was nearing end‑of‑life, produced long backup windows, and created operational complexity and high OPEX.

Abba deployed three SimpliVity OmniCube CN‑3000 systems (2 primary + 1 offsite) to hyperconverge and consolidate infrastructure under a single vCenter interface. The one‑day deployment eliminated separate backup appliances, cut RPO/RTOs from days to minutes, delivered 47:1 data efficiency and 151 TB of capacity savings, roughly 50% performance improvement, reduced rack space to 8U, and enabled DR‑as‑a‑Service along with ongoing OPEX savings.
