Thomas Concrete Group AB, a global ready‑mix concrete leader headquartered in Göteborg, Sweden, supports about 40 international locations and runs a heavily virtualized environment with more than 15 TB of critical application data. With expiring Dell EqualLogic contracts and frequent timeouts and slow responses, IT needed a storage solution that simplified administration, delivered high availability, and provided reliable backup and replication.

They deployed two Nimble CS260G arrays within days, integrating with VMware, Microsoft SQL Server and Exchange and enabling 24/7 snapshots and replication between two Göteborg datacenters. Replication times dropped from 16 hours to minutes, backups that once took hours now complete in seconds, roughly 200 admin hours were recovered, tape reliance was reduced, and IT reported the arrays effectively paid for themselves immediately and will expand the deployment.
