Recoveriescorp “Goes Green” with Nimble Storage

Recoveriescorp is an Australian contact centre specialising in debt recovery and insurance claims with more than 350 staff across Melbourne, Sydney and Fiji. Facing rapidly diminishing capacity, high acquisition and management costs, and a large datacentre footprint from its EMC CLARiiON arrays (31 TB used), IT leadership sought a cost‑effective, “green” and easily scalable storage solution.

They deployed a Nimble Storage CS200 series array with InfoSight, replacing half a rack of EMC with a 3U Nimble system. The move cut provisioned storage from 31 TB to 9 TB (thin provisioning) and delivered 37% additional capacity via inline compression, reduced SQL processing from 3.5 hours to 45 minutes (≈5x), eliminated weeks of manual reporting, raised peak IOPS dramatically and simplified scaling and management while lowering power, space and ongoing costs.
