Leading Investment Company Powers Virtualised Server Estate with Nimble Storage

Amadeus Capital Partners, a leading European venture capital firm with offices in London and Cambridge, needed to consolidate and virtualise its IT estate—reducing 15 physical servers to two—to cut rack space, power and management overhead. Dissatisfied with the performance and flexibility of its existing EMC storage and having considered NetApp, the firm sought a better price/performance solution that would support VMware and robust backup/replication.

Amadeus deployed a Nimble Storage CS220 12TB HA array (via NG‑IT) alongside VMware and Veeam, adding Nimble snapshots for extra protection. The result was successful consolidation of 15 servers into two, lower total cost of ownership, reduced power and footprint, simpler administration and superior IO and monitoring through Nimble InfoSight—delivering improved resilience, scalability and future-proofing.
